This mechanic will probably get a lot of hate from forum members who properly maintain their car, but you have to understand that the majority of owners (especially with the low entry price of used 3 series now) will not properly maintain their cars.

I plan to keep mine for 5 years / 100k at most. Depending on the car's worth at that point will determine if I keep it in the garage or trade it in for whatever the next toy is.
