not really - the density of Houston is some of the best in the nation of a population of over 2 million.

example: take 120 people and put them in the middle of a basketball court - call that Philadelphia or Boston or Miami or San Francisco.

then take 200 people and put them on a football field - call that Houston.

more people in Houston and it STILL doesn't feel as crowded because the area is much bigger.
