It's happened to me in the past. It usually occurs when I push too much weight with bad form. Drop the weight a bit and focus on good form with a full range of motion. I stopped chasing big numbers and started concentrating on doing things right and my rate of little injuries like that has dropped significantly. My knees are feeling a lot better and my shoulders aren't bothering me as much. Joint issues in general have become non-existent for the most part. A lot of people (myself included) like to think that they keep good form but if you really concentrate on it and pay attention to it you'll realize just how much you cheat to push more weight.
