Just an FYI, a speed ticket is not a no-points ticket, (anywhere in the country). This is a common tactic for cops, they lie.
My only is guess is they do this to expedite the situation, write the ticket and be on their way.
I have lost count how many times a cop has told me this and it turned out to be false.
