Ill believe it when I see it. unless ford has been making their frames for the mustang out of lead over the years, don't see how this is going to happen in such a short time. 400 lbs is a LOT to shed, and for a car that's supposed to be a daily drivable, comfortable car, I don't see how ford can shed so much weight without using very light and expensive materials, or completely cheap out on the car...or make it a very small car.

I'm with you. The mustang has a tried and true following. Introducing a much smaller car is going to interrupt that. Many Mustang owners use their cars as daily drivers and kid haulers. It has become a jack of all trades sports car. You can't provide all of the things Mustang owners want at 3100lbs for about 35k. Something has to give.
