In Italian (Ricciardo's dad was born in Sicily) "Ricciardo" is definitely pronounced "Ree-ch-ardo".
If his surname would have been spelt "Riccardo", it would have been pronounced "Ree-kk-ardo" in Italian.

Maybe she pronounced it correctly in Italian, but not necessarily correct for Daniel. It sounds silly, especially given that it's not how he pronounces his own name.
