I think these would work better for people who have very long nipples that even show through thicker shirts. With a sheer bra and tight shirt the entire petal shape shows through, and it's debatable whether that's better than a plain nipple bump.

I think these would work well for runners or other people with chafing issues, or maybe people with really large nipples.
