Not even close... that's one of the reasons why the EZ30 engine is so reliable.
In its last and most powerful iteration which had variable intake valve timing AVCS (Active Valve Control System) and lift AVLS (Active Valve Lift System) - same as Porsche's Variocam Plus technology (actually, they are exactly the same thing) - it managed
245 hp @ 6600rpm and 297Nm @ 4200rpm from a 10.7:1 compression ratio.
A lot of low-end torque combined with an overall low weight from the Toyobaru, though...
