I'm also astonished at the CDC's utter lack of communication on this issue. For example, Hazmat teams are only just today cleaning the apartment of the Ebola patient - when the media asked the CDC previously about their plan to clean the apartment, they didn't have one. The hazardous waste is also still sitting at the site, because the CDC needs a special permit from the DOT to transport the materials for destruction. Did no one think through these scenarios at the CDC, Homeland Security, etc.?
