On my little cul-de-sac they're in the center of the street. They don't bother me at all. The street was just paved and the manholes are at the same level as the street so nice and smooth.
The thing that I hate are the damn potholes on the main streets.
I haven't had any damage
yet but it's not uncommon for people to get blowouts, cracked rims and damaged suspension parts from the bad condition of some of the main roads around here.
