Not really true. The S85 actually has a system similar to the S65. It's a wet sump, which is set up more like a quasi dry sump. The oil accumulates in the oil pan. It's just that it's actively pumped to one end of that pan which is quite large and stores almost all the oil. A true dry sump system has the oil stored in an external tank totally separate from the engine. Look under the hood of a C6 Z06 and you'll see it.
