Thank you for the great review! I just ordered a 335is convertible to replace my 07 335i convertible, and like you, I considered the M3. The fuel economy was the main drawback for me. 335is convertible is 17/26, and the M3 is 14/20 both with DCT. That makes the 335is more efficient ~17% city, and ~23% highway. The cost difference as you indicated is ~$14k, but you also get socked with the $1700 gas guzzler tax and a faster depreciation curve, which makes the TCO a bit wider.

At the end of the day it sounds like you're happy, and that's all that really matters. Enjoy it! For my sake I sure hope your experience with the 335is really was that it was running a break-in program.
