Seriously though, it's kinda disturbing that the "same" cars (those M3's) would have different driving experiences. Personally, I think the "turbo" lag you think you were feeling in the 335is is really "transmission" lag. As you could see from the black M3, getting the tranny response just right is tricky and doesn't always happen correctly. It'll be interesting if the Red M3 tranny continues to behave over time as it supposedly adapts.

My wife said something similar yesterday. She said that maybe if I got the 335is, it might respond better after it has been driven a couple of hundred miles. However, I wasn't prepared to make that leap of faith. Since there isn't really an tweaking on the 335is as far as the DCT, you pretty much got it however they set it up at the factory. I figured I'd better take this "bird in my hand" (red M3) and stuff it in my garage and keep it there before it flies off!
