Maybe BMW figured out electronic steering finally...but a few years ago, they had no clue. My BMW was terrible for this. Large dead spot in the middle...wtf? A few mfrs have figured it out though and it's not impossible to do. Steering too light definitely makes it harder to do performance driving, you break loose way too easy, you are able to increase the steering angle way too easy for how much traction is available. It's ok for a comfort car...but as soon as you start hitting it, you need some weight in there.
