I looked at the MS3 and WRX before buying my GTI.
Overall, the WRX has the best performance, but the interior is "meh", same for the MS3. I like getting in my car and be comfortable in it, with a lot of electronics ( my GTI is fully loaded). Didn't like the ride of the MS3. Too stiff and the gaz mileage is soooo bad. The GTI power is more than enough, and just chipping it you get back at where the MS3 is. So good bargain.
Google "MS3 vs GTI". They are always compared and like 95% of the time, the GTI wins. Take a look at the reads, they are good!
