Yes, I've booked... so far, Viv, Tim (my brother) and I think WillHollin (if he is going to come) are staying at the Mercure. I know that others don't like the location of the hotel so much and want to stay closer to the 'Ring, which is fine

The Mercure is just under 40 miles away from the 'Ring, and takes half an hour to get there, so some see it as being inconvenient which is perfectly understandable. I like it because it gives the cars time to warm up in the morning, and also gives the opportunity for a nice cooldown drive on the way to being parked up overnight in the underground carpark...
