I am a Soldier that is undeployed but I still won't be going home for Christmas because flights are ridiculous and I have less than a $100.00 to my name for presents or groceries. I am 2 hours away from the nearest airport with no ride anyways and this may be my moms last Christmas. My fathers side of the family has put out that no one will be getting more than $35.00 total for Christmas and I bet when I don't come I won't be getting even a phone call from them. I will be stuck in ghost town State College, PA with a closed gym when I need to stay in shape to score well on my scholarship PT test. Hell given the situation if the Army said switch with a Soldier that's in Iraq or Afghanistan so he can go home to his wife and kids I'd do it in a heartbeat. Merry Fucken Christmas.
