Seeing some of these old bikes reminds me of my very first bike, a Yamaha RD250LC.
I also modified mine with the heads swapped over with 350 heads to give more power whilst still learner legal here in Australia where we had a cap on 250cc whilst "learning". I also fitted a lower only engine cowl fairing and Laverda jota drop bars to give it a real race feel. God I loved that bike
