Yes your suspicion is correct, the fluid you see on FCP is the non LV one from BMW. I don't see where they mention LV. It seems they don't carry the LV BMW for some reason, can't find it anywhere. The part number is 83132184843, actually I think there's a lot of part numbers for it.
Had this dilemma of fluid to use a while ago to. Realised car specs for LV instead of normal DOT 4. I believe it has to do with better function with ABS/DSC system. I used to shop by brake fluid temp but since mine is also just a daily although I do drive and push it, I switched to LV because why not and it's not that expensive. I either buy it from dealer if I need it ASAP or actaully prefer to get Pentosin DOT 4 LV when I order parts online.
