Aye, no surprise at all. 18s just don't seem to last that well on E9x cars, with run-flats, badly damped M Sport suspension, and "variable quality" road surfaces adding to the mix. As you no doubt know, living in the UK too!
I went pretty much all out on the tyres after that line up: MPS4s
