Exactly, and your example is a good one. Just like with that Mazda, if continuous revving caused some connector melting, or rocking back and forth caused overstretching of some hose, or breakage of some plastic connector, or even rubbing over a curb damaged a fuel line - those are all design flaws that shouldn't be there. Even the leaves that some insist on placing there - they shouldn't be able to get near hi-temp components. They shouldn't even clog the drain lines like in our BMWs, but I realize it's too much to ask...
