As I read it the OP has a very high BMI if his ideal weight is 220 and hes at 303..he needs to shed fat..cutting the carbs will allow him to still train lightly (mostly cardio) and burn fat very rapidly..once hes reduced his BMI ..he can then add back whole foods carbs and begin to resistance train to build muscle..
